Senior Manager, Comms
Job Description
The Senior Manager serves as day-to-day lead and primary client contact on up to four accounts.
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- Works with assigned teams to consistently implement communications strategies and integrated campaigns that drive results.
- Hones client service skills and strategic planning expertise, working closely with Director and Vice President’s teammates and mentors.
- Ensures materials are client ready and apply thoughtful analysis to data-driven measurement reports.
- Practices INK’s motto of “be there before,” staying ahead of industry and media trends, anticipating client needs and opportunities, and sharing their insights generously with their teams and clients.
- Embodies INK values and culture.
- Commits to employee development, manages 1-2 INKers through day-to-day coaching, regular check-ins, and performance reviews.
- May support the client services (CS) and media relations teams and reports to, advises, and is coached by INK’s Director and/or VP level executives.
- Performs other related duties as required.
Skills and Qualifications
- 7+ years of full-time communications experience, agency setting preferred
- Experience in B2B, tech, and/or renewable energy
- Strong client relations skills and intuition
- Excellent writing skills, clear communicator
- Strong pitching skills and media relationships
- Ability to organize and manage multiple client responsibilities
- Exposure and interest in managing and coaching
- Ability to learn and understand client industries and complex, technical topics
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote team setting
Starting Salary Range
$80,000+, commensurate with experience
