Part-Time Front End Web Developer


Job Description

We are looking for a part-time Front-End Developer to join our creative team and report to our VP, Creative Services. This person will work with a talented team of designers, writers, and comms strategists to support clients in the technology and clean energy industries. This role also supports our internal marketing team on INK’s website and campaigns. This person should have knowledge of typical marketing techstacks and integrations. Responsibilities include using markup languages to build user-friendly web pages and maintain and improve websites, often using WordPress, Hubspot, and Payload. The role requires a full spectrum of front-end web development expertise (HTML/5, Javascript, CSS; responsive and application development) and knowledge of SEO principles, as well as a general understanding of back-end web development coding languages (Python, Java, Ruby).

An ideal candidate enjoys bridging the gap between graphic design and technical implementation, and is interested in playing a role in finding creative and flexible solutions that meet audience needs and business objectives.

This role is the sole developer on our team – along with strong technical skills, they would also need to display advanced problem solving ability, have clear communication, help set and remain accountable to timelines and show an ability to prioritize work with little supervision.

Skills and Qualifications

  • 5+ years experience in a web developer role, agency experience a plus
  • BS degree in Computer Science or relevant field preferred, but not required
  • Proven work experience as a front-end developer
  • Understanding of WordPress, Hubspot, Vercel
  • AEM experience perferred
  • Hands on experience with markup languages
  • Experience with JavaScript, CSS and jQuery
  • Marketo experience perferred
  • UX/UI experience perferred
  • Knowledge of SEO principles
  • SEO/GEO schema markup implementation
  • Familiarity with browser testing and debugging
  • In-depth understanding of the entire web development process (design, devel-opment and deployment)
  • Understanding of layout aesthetics
  • Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite, prototyping programs such as Figma and content management systems
  • An ability to perform well in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent analytical and multitasking skills
  • Stay up-to-date on emerging technologies

Starting Salary Range

$80/hour, up to 20 hours per week
