Art Director


Job Description

The Art Director executes the creative components of complex projects, while completing day-to-day design needs for INK and INK’s clients.

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Interprets client requests and creative briefs while maintaining the integrity of client brand standards.
  • Pays attention to detail, allowing for effort and focus on the strategic nature of a project.
  • Brings a project from concept to completion by working in a variety of mediums.
  • Prioritizes workload and sets accurate expectations with teams.
  • Works directly with the other members of the design team and communicates with other internal INK teams.
  • Works on a variety of client and internal projects, including digital, print, and social.
  • Performs other related duties as required.

Skills and Qualifications

  • 3+ years of professional design experience, agency setting preferred
  • Excellent writing skills, clear communicator
  • Ability to organize and manage multiple responsibilities
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote team setting
  • Experience in B2B technology and/or renewable energy, a plus
  • Strong understanding of typography and design principles
  • Proficient in InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop
  • Ability and willingness to work in Microsoft programs, notably PowerPoint
  • Knowledge of After Effects and Premiere Pro with experience in motion graphics, preferred
  • Knowledge of prototyping tools such as Figma, InVision, Sketch, preferred
  • Knowledge of web design and wordpress, preferred

Starting Salary Range

$65,000+, commensurate with experience
